Incorporating Tiny-ML (Tiny Miniature Learning) into my design

Bee Sense

“Monitoring pollinators, classifying species, and tracking ecological threats.”

Bee Sense is a sunflower-inspired design that monitors the pollination activity in agricultural fields. Its solar-powered petals keep the system running sustainably, while Tiny ML algorithms are trained to detect bees through classification of distinct frequency.

Farmers gain real-time insight into crop pollination to optimize yields, and ecologists can track species trends, monitor bee populations, and identify potential threats to biodiversity.

More than a device, Bee Sense explores how thoughtful, low-energy technology can connect society to the environment—supporting both productivity and ecological stewardship.

Teaching Tiny ML to Listen

See how the sensor was trained to detect bees, filter out irrelevant insects, and generate accurate ecological data.

Understanding Bee Sense

Explore how the design functions in the field and how users—farmers and ecologists—can interact with the data.
