“Redesigned from real cyclist insight, not assumption.”
The Velo Sentinel is a redesign of the Velo Glow bike light, created to better meet the needs of real cyclists. Unlike the original, I began by conducting extensive research, including interviews and surveys with triathletes at Loughborough, to uncover their pain points and priorities.
Insights from this research directly guided the redesign: the light is more ergonomic, lightweight, and aerodynamic, easier to recharge, and provides real-time information tailored to the user. Aerodynamics were tested in SolidWorks to ensure optimal performance. Every aspect of the Velo Sentinel was considered through the lens of responsible, user-focused design, creating a product that truly addresses the challenges cyclists face on shared roads.
